Changing the landscape of protein biochemistry and molecular mycology
In the Washington Laboratory, we use diverse approaches—including structural biology, biochemistry, and fungal genetics—to understand the molecular mechanisms that enable fungal pathogens to function, adapt, and thrive. We are particularly interested in how these pathogens survive and proliferate in host environments, as well as how changing environmental conditions, including climate change, influence their evolution, resilience, and capacity to cause disease.
